Oh dear.

Oh dear oh dear.

I think I may have found my own particular Sisyphean task. I picked up a couple of quilting books by Kaffe Fassett from the library this morning, in the hope that inspiration might strike (I’ve been trying to design a blue/green Lady of the Lake-based quilt, but I can’t get it right). And waiting for me inside one of the books was this:

Not a great picture, but it’s a gorgeous quilt. Called Persian Blue Stars – I think I may be in love. That’s my next twenty years’ work, that is, right there. It was fated – Kaffe suggests that this quilt should be worked by the English paper-piecing method, which is the only method I ever use. See? It was meant to be. Ahem.

In a fit of enthusiasm I’ve already been online and bought some fabric (for the the centre star, which also features in a few more panels in the design and in the border). But I’m NOT ALLOWED to buy any more until I’ve finished the William Morris tapestry I’m working on, AND the pinwheel cushion cover I’m doing with M, AND the flower fairy counted cross-stitch I’m half-way through. Yeah, right.

As I said. Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear.
